After four years apart, it took a war to reunite them.

Aeric Tyrsson and Iselív Alvarsdóttir know they belong together. Unfortunately, their families don’t agree. In an effort to end their childish romance, Aeric is banished to Ísland and forced to become the killer he never wanted to be.

Stuck in Noregr, Iselív faces an arranged marriage that her father deems appropriate. Time is running out before the betrothal is set, and Aeric still has two years of his banishment left. Her fate seems inevitable.

Until a tyrant kills the King of Noregr, and all warriors are called home to choose a side.

Reunited, Aeric and Iselív have little time to celebrate. Noregr is torn between the pagan tyrant Ottar Valdainsson and the true heir, Olaf Haraldsson. With war looming on the horizon, Aeric and Iselív must take their place on their side of history to save Noregr from a rule of hatred.
